Indian automobile industry is still rapid and the popular manufacturers are
coming with newer models and concepts. With the demand for four-wheelers
increasing continuously, the top companies keep trying to reload their armoury.

automakers have preferred to make the facelifts and upgrades of their
best-selling models more often.
Here is a list of three upcoming cars in India.
Honda New Civic

The Honda Civic is one of the most loved cars in India from the Japanese automaker after the Honda City, albeit in a higher price tag. It will now jump to the tenth generation and is expected to launch in the last quarter of 2019. The sedan is based on the manufacturer’s new design language and will ride on 17-inch alloy wheels. The vehicle is likely to get a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
It is likely to come with a 1.8-litre engine is capable of churning out 170 bhp of power. The current model comes with either the CVT or the six-speed manual transmission.

Ford Figo facelift
The new Ford Figo
facelift also remains in the queue. It is one of the best selling cars in the
B-segment category. The ongoing model last got a major update way back in 2015,
and now needs a huge upgrade to stay to stay more modern against its
competitors.
The car is expected to come with the same three-cylinder, 1.2-litre petrol
engine that has been provided in the Freestyle as well. On the other hand, the
1.5-litre TDCi will be retained. The engines will be mated to a 5-speed manual
transmission. The petrol variant may feature an optional AMT gearbox. There is
also a chance of getting a CNG variant of the vehicle soon.
Maruti Suzuki Wagon R facelift
It has been
almost 20 years since the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R was first introduced inthe
market. Despite all the ups and downs in the market, the car still counts among
the top-ten highest selling vehicles. The facelift is one of the most awaited upcoming cars in India 2019.
It is likely to get the 1.0-litre engine that is paired with the 5-speed manual
gearbox. The vehicle can also get a new diesel variant. The all-new Wagon R
will be launched either by the end of the year or the first half of the next
year.
Verdict
The upcoming year is very crucial for the Indian automobile industry as there are many upcoming cars lined up. The above-mentioned cars are the facelifted version of the already-popular models, which could mean their fate post the launch is sealed to be good.
